At pet place, our group classes are the perfect way to learn with your dog in a supportive and social environment. What sets our group classes apart is that they are small and intimate, with a maximum of 6 dogs per class. This ensures that your dog receives plenty of focused attention from the trainer, and you get the guidance you need to succeed.
Because of our small class sizes, spaces fill up quickly—so be sure to book your spot now! Group classes are a fantastic way to improve your dog’s behavior while building their confidence in a controlled, supportive environment.
Our Basic Obedience program is a 6-week, hour-long class specifically designed to strengthen your bond with your dog by focusing on core obedience skills, leash manners, and building calmness around other dogs. This class is ideal for dogs of all ages who need to learn or reinforce foundational behaviors for better interactions and everyday situations.
Throughout the course, we work on essential commands such as Sit, Stay, Come, Down, and Leave It, along with leash manners and impulse control. The goal is to help your dog become more focused and responsive, whether you're on walks or navigating new environments. Using positive reinforcement, we ensure that your dog remains motivated and engaged in the learning process.
The 6-week course costs $170 per dog, which breaks down to just $28.33 per class. It's an affordable way to provide consistent, structured training while learning alongside other pet owners in a supportive group setting.
If you prefer a more personalized approach to training, our Private Lessons offer one-on-one instruction tailored to your dog’s specific needs. Private lessons are perfect for addressing behavioral issues such as excessive barking, jumping, leash pulling, or for pet owners looking for more detailed instruction on behavior correction. Each session is 1 hour in length and can take place at Pet Place or at a location mutually agreed upon between you and the trainer.
Private lessons provide the flexibility to focus on your dog’s unique challenges and work at your preferred pace. These lessons are ideal for addressing specific concerns or achieving more advanced training goals.
Before booking private lessons, we require a Training Evaluation for $45. The evaluation helps us assess your dog’s current behavior, understand your training goals, and determine the best course of action for your private lessons.
